Position Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the IT Director will be responsible for creating IT policy and strategy, implementing infrastructure and leveraging technology to help the organization achieve its goals

The IT Director will lead all day-to-day IT operations, supporting an organization of 80 and growing. They will be involved in the planning and execution of Community Solutions IT infrastructure, ensuring effective management and support is provided.

Defining Success for this Position:

  • Demonstrate full and complete control of all IT operations of the organization
  • Ensure sound security risk mitigation, and management
  • Provide seamless IT support
  • Facilitate periodic updates and training to all staff, from best-practice device management to adoption of new applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The IT Director will work closely with stakeholders to continuously improve the company’s infrastructure, systems and network. Key responsibilities would be:

  • Developing the organization’s IT strategy and translating it into actionable goals
  • Analyzes business requirements for IT needs and systems.
  • Coordinating IT activities to ensure the availability of network services and data
  • Identifying future challenges in the IT landscape and developing mitigation strategies
  • Identifying security vulnerabilities and eliminating them with strategic solutions
  • Identifying and recommending new technology solutions
  • Consult senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology
  • Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance
  • Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems
  • Builds and maintains relationships with outside vendors.

Professional Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
  • Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases and storage systems
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects
  • Solid working knowledge of all security protocols
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team oriented

Supervisory Responsibilities:

N/A - Management of relationship with our external IT partner

Salary Range:

$124,000 - $130,000+

Work Environment:

This position provides for the flexibility to work from a remote location without the standard support available at an office if such an arrangement meets the needs of Community Solutions.
