Job Overview:

Community Solutions aims to create a new understanding that homelessness is solvable by helping 75 communities reach functional zero, a measurable end state for ending homelessness, by 2026. This evidence of what is possible will be translated into new norms through a communications campaign that turns what is possible into what is expected.

As part of this work, we work with core partners that fund and support the Built for Zero movement on powerful communications and cause marketing campaigns. These partners, which include Rocket Mortgage, Kaiser Permanente, and The Home Depot Foundation, are harnessing their large and influential platforms to drive communications that support this movement and establish a new narrative. These campaigns span earned media, social media, paid media, television, radio, and more.

Your job will be to participate in and project manage these partnerships through every stage of these campaigns, including ideation, pre production planning, production, and dissemination. Success will look like the production and dissemination of content that shifts discourse about homelessness to reflect that it is a solvable, systems problem necessary for achieving racial equity — and a seamless process of collaboration for the multiple partners involved.

In this role, you will serve as an integral member of the communications team and report to the Senior Communications Manager. You will also work closely with the Principal of Strategic Communications, the Marketing and Engagement Manager, and members of the Strategic Partnerships team.

About Community Solutions:

Community Solutions is a non-profit organization working toward a lasting end to homelessness that leaves no one behind. We envision a more equitable future where homelessness is never inevitable or a way of life, for anyone. Since 2015, we have led Built for Zero, a movement of more than 80 cities and counties using data to radically change how they work and the impact they can achieve — and proving that it is possible to make homelessness rare and brief. Nearly half of those communities have reduced homelessness in their communities, and 14 of those communities have ended veteran or chronic homelessness. To help communities equitably and sustainably end homelessness, we are also identifying solutions to address gaps in housing, disrupt inflow into homelessness, and produce more racially equitable housing systems.

Community Solutions seeks leaders at every level: extraordinary, mission-oriented people not satisfied with the status quo. We are a team of values driven innovators motivated by results. We eagerly seek and support diverse applicants. We provide generous benefits and opportunities for inspiring and transformational professional growth. We pride ourselves in developing an inclusive workplace culture that encourages staff to bring their whole selves to work every day.
